« on: October 18, 2006, 05:09:36 PM »

I watched an interview last night on the zune and heard that the headphones are used as the antena for the radio..same as a sony ericsson phone..(dnt no about other phones as i stay to SE)..now my point is does that mean you can't use your own headphones?

No you can use your headphones and anything does a good antenna... As far as there is metal in it (any wire will do the job)... It's just physics  Grin

That is true I know but SE phones have to have the special adapter first...which we all know Zune will not have on the release and that is why i'm wondering whether you have to use MS headphones in order to use the radio...

understand? Huh?

I think the Headphones plug should be the standard 1/8" size...

I almost garuantee that the headphone port will be 1/8 inch or the same size as the ipods. Also I also believe that the headphones are used as an antena, but if you use you own headphones everything will work exactly the same... It might just have a little slammer linking range.
