US ZUNE Adapter working in South Africa and Germany?

I want to buy a Zune in US (120V) for use in South Africa and Germany 220/230V. Can you please tell me if I can charge the Zune using the adapter from the travel kit to charge the batteries without any problems. I have no chance to use the USB-stick from a computer. If you use a converter, yes. Or you can buy a USB to AC converter (with the voltage for the countries, of course.).

Thank you for your friendly help! Do I understand right that a USB to AC converter is a special cable that converts the voltage from USB port to the Adapter that I intend to buy? Please apologize that I am so dumb. I am living in Germany and my son is visiting a school in South Africa. Now I wanted to buy for him the new ZUNE in US, but I am afraid that either on his holidays in Germany, nor in South Africa he can charge the Zune with the adapter from the travel kit. Is the adapter converter solution the only possible one, if he will not be able to charge the Zune via USB?
