Go to options, library, and then Find info for albums. This is supposed to fix all the info and add any album art for your albums. I keep trying it and it works until 3 percent but then it says it can't connect to the server. Anyone else having trouble with this?

I did it and it completed successfully. It appears to have updated most of the metadata, but it didn't download any of the album art for some reason.

I'm up to 8% with a high speed connection. Its still updating but from the looks of it I'll have to let the thing run all night.
I'm glad I loaded the software and started the process before the actual release date. Can you imagine how hard the server is going to get hit within the first week.
Inability to hit the server and update the files will be one of those issues that will hurt the Zune if it continues.

After approximately 15% of updating album art I got the dreaded "Server is Busy" and its not updating. I hope MS has a handle on this because this could be a problem down the road as more and more users hit the servers.
Or it could be an attack against the servers and not MS's fault. Either way it has to be fixed.

i tried clicking the find info button and its said "retrieving media information and updating files" for the past hour or so, any suggestians or is patience just the key.

Whats the size of the library you guys have? Mine's around 30G and it completed in about 10 minuteson a 1.8 ghz centrino laptop with 1 MB ram.

i didn't go into options> library to do what i think is updating them.
i went to the playlist page and even though i didnt even put anything there it had a bunch of playlists, so i clicked on one of them and it started going through my albums averaging 2 sec per and on the bottom right of the zune program it said updating "album title". im hoping thats the same thing.

is it just me or is the job of getting the right pictures on the right music a real b!tch.  Theres the different colored nocd pictures but i right click and search for album and theres one choice and all the songs come up on the list. why doesent it just add them. Also i go to change the picture for something that already has a picture loaded and i know the picture is for the wrong CD and the first thing that comes up under the search is a different one than it is displaying. i shouldnt have to go through manually and change every song to the right picture -_-. i try to do the library update and i keep getting server is busy try later. besides this, the software is great |
