 I ordered a black zune for $103.98 on Friday using this deal and it shipped. The deal is back right now, but if you want in i would hurry because who knows how long it will last. On the left choose shop by brand "Microsoft" Add the pink zune for $249 to your cart (don't worry you will get a black zune). Once you add the pink Zune to the cart you can add a black zune under "related products". Continue to cart and checkout. Once in your cart remove the pink zune. You should now have a black zune in your cart for $109. Pay with paypal and get an extra 10% off. Mine was $103.98 with Tax. Your tax might be more or less than mine. Ok this isn't really the right place to ask, but hopefully one of you nice people will be able to answer.
Does the zune remote work directly with the zune, or is it dependent upon the home docking station to work.
I guess what i need to know is if the zune has an IR port itself, or is the IR eye in the docking station?
I want a remote to use in my car with the belkin tunebase i ordered.
I know the FM modulator in the belkin sucks, but i plan to use the Aux input on my head unit. I just got the belkin for the mount and charger but i would really like a remote control.

The remote interfaces with the dock..not the Zune. Same with the remote and dock on the Apple side. |

Ahh, thanks.
I guess i will be controlling my zune directly until they come out with a head unit capable of controlling the zune. To me that is the biggest advantage that ipod has - support for direct control with an aftermarket car stereo. I have become accustomed to using the steering wheel controls in my car to control everything (Sirius tuner, cd changer and CD player), hopefully MS will come out with something.
