No it wont be recognized as a USB drive.   Only the the Zune software will recognize it.  The thing is not configured as a storage media therefore usb won't recognize it.

A software change to the Zune may be down the road which will allow it to be recognized as a storage drive as well.

no i mean, i have several USB ports on my computer. But none of them are 2.0 only 1.something....will it still work...ipods still worked.

It will not work. I tried using a USB 2.0 adapter that connects to my USB 1.0 port and that somehow destroyed the battery of the Zune I owned. So I had to get a new one.

You definitely need to use USB 2.0. Zune won't accept anything less. Zune is turning out to be a real prissy canine.

The adapters come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from $5 to $30+. The more expensive the adapter, the more ports generally. You also pay for brand name as price goes up, not necessarily quality. You can buy the adapters in stores that sell computers. Best Buy, Circuit City, hell even Wal-Mart probably has them. Wal-Mart has everything.

You install the adapter inside the tower, like a video card or something. It should come with instructions and it shouldn't be that complicated/hard to find instructions for inserting into the computer on the internet.

So if i go to a computer store, is it something i have to open up my computer to put in...if so...i probly cant get a zune  my mom would never let me do that...
