I only want Zune to search for media files in one place ... a folder I have on a network drive called Music.

When I go into the 'monitor folders' dialogue box, however, I see that it is also monitoring my "documents and settings" folder on my laptop.  So, I select that folder and click on the button "Remove Folder".  The folder is removed, but then after I click OK and Zune starts searching for files again it once again adds the "Documents and Settings" folder to the list of monitored folders.

How do I permantently prevent Zune from searching a folder?

OK, I think I might have figured this one out.  I removed a folder from being monitored, but I still had items from that folder in my library.  In order to completely remove a folder from the list of monitored folders, no files from those folders can be in the library.

The reason Zune searched those folders to begin with was because I had the option "add files from other media player playlists" checked.
