problems with Zune marketplace

hey guys just bought my zune today and love it so far but after i installed the software i tryed to access the marketplace with the like on the left and the middle just turns white and goes nowhere also the sign in button does not work i called the tech support number and they said that the marketplace was down is that true and any one varify that or does any one know what the problem might be i am on MCE 2005 and i have already tryed to install it and reinstall it and that did not help if some one coulde please help i have a lot of MS point and want to get to buying.

Nope. Try doing something like going to the Artists tab under Marketplace, and see if that comes up.

the market place tag wont do a drop down to allow me to select artist.
