My interpretation: The lines touching each other represent zunes participating in the social by linking up with each other to share content. The many zunes connecting start interconnecting with other zunes to form a Z. For Zunes. The logo displays Z and the concept of the social network

I've noticed that it even sort of spells out Z-U-N-E, all overlapped, except that part of the E is missing

To eloborate on the Z concept, It is a 3-dimensional Z in the form of wireframe [a 3d model that displays the dimensions] We are looking at the top left corner of the Z that has been rotated at a 30 degree or so angle, if you really want to see it, just look the right side of the Logo and notice the Z shape, then look at the other side which mirrors a Z shape aswell

Haha, mine was a few minutes later.

Took me a while to make it =P I had to look-up the idiotic reasoning behind Adobe discontinuing ImageReady as to make it impossible for me to make animated images anymore. That guy who has the zune logo avatar with the "Z" in the wrong plane really annoys me.

Very conclusive, but that as you can see, not all the lines are used to form the Z-U-N-E. If the creators wanted to just the word ZUNE in their logo, why the extra lines?

Because then it would look like this:

The additional lines form half of the shape on an "ank" which is the symbol of eternity.

That's just my theory.
