zMeta v2.010 : Allows users to modify all Zune-used meta tags of Zunable media. Cost: Nothing. Download at:Here (For the installer)Here (For just the files)Instructions:Open files. Change tags (either in table view or single view) Switch video types (right click on entries in the table view, or select multiple entries and then choose what type you want). Saving? Is done whenever you make a change, change anything at all and the data and tags are saved. Once you've edited what you want, then re-sync the files to the Zune. The Zune software won't recognize them as being changed so unfortunately you'll have to delete the files from your Zune and then re-upload the files. This is mostly just temporary until AlbinoTux and myself figure out how to send content to the Zune itself. Also note that if the content isn't on the Zune yet and you change the tags, then all you have to do is sync the files to the Zune and the tags will be there. The reason you have to re-sync content is only because the Zune software won't see that the files in your library are different to those on the Zune and thus won't update the tags. Supported FormatsAll Zunable formats. However, note that .mp4, .m4a, and .m4b don't really work with Metatags (in general, not just with zMeta) and won't hold tags. As far as I know the only way to fix this is to convert them to .wmv, .mp3, or another Zunable format. Props: Saikou, AlbinoTux, Jocker, rock4christ, seesoe, and everyone at ZuneBoards ( www.ZuneBoards.com). Note:To uninstall the application if you use the installer, just go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall from there.

Because you can't modify all the actual attributes with it. You can't set the gUID so the Zune recognizes videos as movies, music videos, etc. You can't set descriptions for files either. Good enough reason?

Ahh, seems you have to go into the advanced edit mode. The use of it seems a tad annoying, I think I might still try my hand at my version.

yah if you could make it so it can only edit the information that is shown on the zune and in a simple to use interface, that would be better i suppose

Anyone knows if those are the only 3 IDs (Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos) supported by the Zune? To me, it is still not enough. It would be cool if we could define our own IDs, seeing that folders are not supported.

those are the only ones that can be specified in the metadata. Or at least the only ones microsoft tells you about. M$ has a page specifying all different aspects of metadata, and those are the only three categories listed for WMVs.

There are a lot more categories for videos, I just don't have the list on me. Check out the Video problems or something topic. There's a direct link to the MSDN database.

Berdon, your work is appreciated, some good features would be to be able to add descriptions, edit stuff, names, blah the basic with a nice interface.

Try your best, plus you can then do updates, the GUI is no big deal, its a nice addition, but get the main functions correct and i will be happy. Thanks for your hardwork.
