Well, the XNA 3.0 CTP release is out, complete with Zune game support http://blogs.msdn.com/xna/archive/2008/05/07/announcing-xna-game-studio-3-0-community-technical-preview-ctp.aspx Today, we are delivering the first Community Technical Preview (CTP) of XNA Game Studio 3.0, giving you the ability to build games for the entire family of Zune media devices. This feature gives you access to the majority of the XNA framework APIs while retaining a seamless sense of integration with the Zune media experience. In addition, this release now requires either Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition and higher (C# language support must be installed), or Visual C# 2008 Express Edition. Keeping with Zune media experience, the XNA Game Studio 3.0 integration includes discoverability/access to user’s non-DRM music – allowing you to customize background soundtracks or create real-time visualizations. In addition, we’ve announced the ability to have multiple nearby Zunes wirelessly engage in an ad-hoc social gaming experience. A preview release of XNA Game Studio 3.0 is now available through the XNA Creators Club Online site ( http://creators.xna.com), with a final release scheduled for the holiday 2008 season. For those of you that prefer the shortest path to happiness, the direct link to the XNA Game Studio 3.0 CTP is here. *Starts Working* If you guys wanna delpoy these games now, you'll need to download Visual Studio 2008 C# Express Edition & The XNA 3.0 CTP Release, then open the project source and deploy to your Zune. WARNING: If you're a novice or confused by this all, you may want to consider waiting till a later date to do this SETTING UP YOUR ZUNE: http://www.bostonpocketpc.com/Getting+Games+On+Your+Zune.aspxGAMES: http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/download-completed-games-174/

Honestly, if you don't know what XNA does, I think you should let it be.

Honestly, if you don't know what XNA does, I think you should let it be. What he said. If you must know, XNA is game Dev software. SO yeah, if you download the tools, and the game source, you can play games on your Zune. I'll probably put up a little walkthrough incase people don't kow how to delpoy / compile projects to their Zune; just as soon as this is all done downloading & installing EDIT: Has anyone else tried to install the XNA CTP 3.0, noly to have it fail, everytime? Or is it just me? 'Cause that would suck

I know what XNA is, I just didn't know if the current firmware would work with the games. Sorry for the confusion.

XNA = Game Software XNA 3.0 Allows Zune Games Using XNA 3.0, you can put games on your Zune. If you download everything listed above, you can play games on Zune. Does that help much? If not, you're better off waiting till Winter.

Its not that hard, if you just wanna play the games, just download the code and run it. Heck you could even just change the picture files and audio files to make it look how you want. Though I must say, actually coding games is very daunting using XNA; its definetly not the easier software to use in the world

At the moment there is this one very basic game: http://nick.gravelyn.com/2008/05/07/alien-aggressors-zune-edition/I'll add games to teh first post if I find them I guess; but seeing as it only got released today, it might take a few days before we start seeing some proper games. And Microsoft should also be releasing the code for the games they've been showing off, hopefully.
