Okay, no traditional poll, as there are too many great FPS out there, and no matter how many I'll list, I'm sure to forget somebody's favorite, so....
Post your favorite FPS (First Person Shooter) game, and why?
Me?
Easy. Halo series. No game has kept me occupied in front of a screen, got me more excited, and took the place of spending time with my wife on our first two wedding anniversaries (oops  ) than Halo.
Good thing my wife is a Halo girl, and can kick most guy's butts w/a rocket launcher and a 9. Gotta love a woman like that!

Halo girl... lucky.
Half Life and Halo are pretty much all the FPS you need. Best PC FPS + Best Console FPS = You're set. Halo 2 is still played a metric ton and who doesn't like CS (be it 1.6 or Source).

Perfect Dark, sorry to go old school but I love the multiplayer mode on the N64 version too much.
Yes, the Rare of those days is dead. The new Rare Microsoft wasted money on is a shell of the former company as you can see by Perfect Dark Zero. |

the best FPS of all time is 007 golden eye on the N64 no game has ever matched the fun level and replay ability. i spent many long nights with crowded around the tube with 3 friends playing deathmatches till our eyes bled. remote mines FTW!!!
halo is a very close second

Until someone unlocks oddjob and then it's annoying as F*** to kill him. Remote mines with *A*B* mash detitnation. That took no skill and i dont know how often I got yelled at for using it.

i'm definitely going to have to say Battlefield 2. a couple months ago i would've said Halo 2, but i bought bf2, and haven't been able to put it down.
