mszunefan actually thinks that PocketIE is better than the iPhone's browser?! I've given serious thought to getting a Redfly to accompany my T-Mobile Dash, but the thought of PocketIE prevents me from pulling the trigger.

Much better choice. I look forward in hearing how fast and easy the web browser is to use.

And you get an even worse browser than Pocket IE..... http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/25/lg-dare-hands-on/The browser is also a "full HTML" browser in the most minor of senses. Sure it understands HTML, but it won't be rendering web pages anything like they're supposed to look, other than specially formatted mobile sites

Pocket IE (or even Opera) pales in comparison to the browser on the iPhone or Touch. Applecare is not insurance as most know it on cel phones. Its simply an extension of the warranty. You break it, you still pay for it.

Good decision. The Touch is much more versatile. 32gb?

No thanks. The LG Dare is an iPhone wannabe. I'm talking about a heavy duty mobile computing device... which my Dash already is... I just need the ability to use a notebook-type formfactor at times.

You really think the internet on the iPod Touch is hard to use? And WiFi is slow?
Yea I love the full qwery keyboard....I mean the thin keyed touch keyboard. Its like surfing the internet on a PSP. annoying I'm not going to lie, browsing on the web on the iPod Touch or the iPhone is a lot less annoying than typing on a PSP. Typing on a PSP is like texting without the auto-complete features.

Well, at least it will drive traffic here and, hopefully, they'll take a look around and get the chance to make their own decisions based on the posts in here and not just what the media posts. Overall, the users of this site are very well informed. They may not all agree but they usually get a lot of different opinions out in the open to discuss the issues. And good on mszunfan if he DID upgrade to a touch, at least it is a better device than the Zune. I just think all the extra features combined with the greatly reduced storage capacity don't do it for me. I'm hopeful that the next Zune is more like the touch.

Best Buy? Really? Watch Out: http://www.kevitivity.com/geeksquad.htmlI'm just saying... So very sad, not for you leaving Zune, but for you buying the iPod. It'll crash in less than a year, so not to worry. [/quo Ouch. iPod classic. True it has some nice features missing from the Zune, but the iTunes software is not very conducive for interacting with a media collection.
+1, I have always hated iTunes, even back when the little icon was green. I will never buy anything from apple, I mean cmon, their laptops run basically on firmware... What? What do you mean? Mac products are basically Intel hardware without Windoze... ? Please explain your statement. You do realize that every one that has ever reviewed the Touch and the iPhone has said the browser is the best browser on a portable device?
You know what is portable and has an even better browser, a laptop. If I wanted a PMP to do everyting under the moon I would say darn it and buy a laptop. But saying it has the best browser for anything of its kind is like saying it got Gold in the special olympics. And believe me there are much better cellphones that can browse the internet and it didn't take them a full year to finally get a 3G network

Before Zune, I will admit that I would buy music from them, but I ended up burning it to a cd, and then ripping it into WMP. Much simpler.

no Shiz. I have a 16 gig Iphone 3g and after screwing around with itunes for a couple of hours trying to get album art and getting the id3 tags right I said screw it. My z80 is a better mp3 player than the iphone 3g and the zune software is way ahead of itunes. the iphone however kicks total ass.
