Think about it for a moment: it only makes sense that on 16 September they will release Zune Marketplace in Canada. Wireless Marketplace will be released as a firmware upgrade to ALL Zune users. So unless they release two different firmwares for each country, and even then, how do you differentiate between Zune USA devices and Zune Canada devices?

Also, what about all those new features that are tied to the Marketplace such as Channels and Mixview? They'd seem pretty useless (or totally absent) without the Marketplace.

Just my speculation...

There's still no marketplace in canada? wow that sucks...so you cant buy anything..

Canada is always very slow to get those things. It took forever to get the iTunes music store. Something with the laws here about file sharing causes some problems for people. It will come out eventually.

digital privacy laws are very different (canada v.s u.s) thus the reason why it takes forever to get the marketplace out.

honestly this issue is pissing alot of people off. The number one thing im looking forward in 2009 is the availability of zune marketplace in canada.
