I would still happy with my 30 gb (since Christmas of 06') but its been through so much and sustained alot of damage. The two buttons don't work and scroll pad barely works. But if anything this is a resistant little gadget. My pause button stopped working five months ago, which means my Zune has not been turned off since then, and I still use it everyday, and charge it once a night. I had to find other ways to get back to the different screens without the use the other buttons. Anyway I ordered a 80 gb original which is going in a case, never to suffer the same fate as my 30. Though I think I would have been tired of it by now anyway, because there is more space available and space the the only thing I care about with Mp3 players;

I'm still happy with my 30g. I got it for Christmas last year though so it still has a lot of use left in it. I wouldn't mind upgrading to an 80 or 120 though... Tongue

I'd still be happy with my 30g if it wasn't for the fact that I dropped it so much that it crapped out on me eventually. I just got my 120g for $220 on Amazon so there's no turning back now Tongue.

I don't have a 30, so I can't really say I am even satisfied. I got a 120, which I am satisfied with.

So why post?

I'm still very satisfied with my 30gb (I think I've had it a year and a half now). I use it every single day and take it everywhere. I'm not as satisfied with the Griffin case I got for $5. It's done me well but I've beaten to hell so badly it makes it seem like the Zune is ugly.

I am. I got mine the year they came out as a Christmas present... Even though I already had a 30 gig iPod video. I decided I liked the Zune better. It's pretty sweet. I was going to get a 120 for Christmas, but I decided that the 30 is good enough... and the 120 doesn't come in brown!

had my zune since july '07 as a birthday present, i specifically asked for it since my mate who went to america brought on back and showed me.

Got mine of ebay as a newly boxed black gen 1 30gb version, it has few scratched and is still going, but i recon the battery is on it's last legs Sad

Dec 07 and still in the dreamy eyed newlywed phase.  I hope I never have to choose between my Zune and my wife...

I am still satisfied with my brown 30, even though it looks weird, it works GREAT. It's never broken, and I even squeezed free basic headphones from Zune when mine broke. (ended up getting skullcandies anyway).

Don't worry, Griffin screwed me too. I am satisfied with my Zune 30, that only has 112 MB of room on it. I have had it for about a little less than 2 years and it still works fine. But that doesn't mean if I had the extra money, I wouldn't go get the 120. Although I will probably wait until the 3rd Gen Zunes come out some time next year.

I bought my Zune30 on day one over two years ago and am still very happy with it. So happy I upgraded the hard drive to a 100GB one because I did not want to upgrade to a newer Zune that did not have an EQ.

I'm satisfied with my 30G also. I used to think it was cool to have a bunch of movies on it, but then I realized that I never watch them  Tongue, so now I just use it for just music and KTLK FM radio, and it's still a great device. However... I wish it was cheaper when I bought it Tongue

Same here.  Upgraded one of my 30GB Zunes to 80GB.  Still lovin' it so much, that I'm considering upgrading my other 30GB to 160GB.

Wanted to shoot my self in teh foot because of the terrible battery life, got the 80gb from day one, then the 120 gb from day one.

And they improved it quite nicely, now it can easily last me 2 days. (A big movie watcher)

My friend still has his zune 30 from 06. for some reason his software messes up so I offer to upgrade it for him on my comp periodically when theres an update.

I still think its hilarious seeing this firmware his 30. I remember my 30, with that lame font size 12 courier new looking font. no gradient on the menu options. decent but terrible. what MS is doing is great, honoring their first  set of customers with these updates.
