So my screen has gone from the frozen zune load screen to a white box with a white explanation point in it what does this mean?

its out of battery. there's really no use in charging it, it will just be stuck on the load screen again.

Thanks dont think I have ever killed the battery to see that screen

me either. this is the first time, but i remember seeing that screen when i had charged the zune for the first time.

My 30gb Zune is still working. No freeze up...no problems. I have it syncing right now so hopefully when its done it will still work.
Report your firmware version. Take a look of it at Settings > About > Zune

I have a friend that works @ Microsoft and just gave him a call. He was just pulling into one of the parking garages. Told me he'd get on campus and see what he can find out and will be calling me back.

Not sure what his issue is but I'll guess....My 30gig just froze up in boot screen. I tried the reset and all of the boot button pressing configurations....still stuck.

My nephews did it at the same time...hes 40miles away. He called me as I was trying to get mine working, he's having the same issue.....

30 minutes and counting on hold with M$ support. I have had my 30 since they came out so I am out of warranty also. I'm hoping that by calling I will be eligible for whatever repair they come up with. In this economy to have my Zune brick due to a software glitch means I will be without an MP3 player for quite a while. The 1 and 2 gig players are pretty worthless.
