hmmm...im not really sure where to go from there then...i would still give calling support a try and asking around...or going through MS.com and looking for help and support there...other then that...you said you tried disconnecting the battery...have you tried unhooking the Hard Drive and reconnecting it? not sure what that will do, so dont take my word on it, but from what ive read, if you disconnect the harddrive and battery, its does like a hard reboot and you might be able to work up from there...but again, dont take my word for it on that, and try support first... lol ok, well i did call support and basically they were like "go to service.zune.net" and i can't do that because the guy registered his zune.. i sent him a message to see if i can get his account for it or if he can unregister it or something. but i might try disconnecting the harddrive.. though i'm not sure what that would do. lol

other then a hard reboot...it shouldnt do anything...the only thing i can think of thats wrong with it, is the software on it/ a file on it is corrupted and wont let anything work...by removing the HD it might let the drive figure things out and sort itself out and it might all work again...lol Grin

Sounds like Norm got burnt. He said he got this thing on ebay and right away it didn't work. This doesn't sound like the typical zune errors. Sounds like it's fried. I wouldn't even mess around with it. Just look into your recourse options if any.

Mine just froze up on starting about 10 minutes ago.  I did the tutorial on opening the case and disconnecting the battery.  It's back up and running again.
