I've had a chance to spend some time with my Zune HD which I bought from www.bestbuy.com.  I thought I'd share my thoughts and experience with it.  Without a doubt, the Zune HD is a very nice device.  The touch screen works really well, it's clear and bright.  I thought it was pretty clever how they even designed a portion of it to be easy to hold while viewing movies although this makes it a bit left hand unfriendly.  Typing on the screen is a bit tricky though but I quickly found that turning it over so it's sideways when I'm typing increased the space between the keys that made it much easier to type.

The wireless internet is neat though as it connected to my secured wifi at home w/o a hitch.  It sux there's no flash support yet so going on YouTube was pointless.  I have yet to find any other uses for WiFi so far cept maybe being able to look up something really quick if I'm out.

One of the reasons I bought the Zune was because I wanted a PMP device to go with my Aaxatech P2 which I bought from http://www.aaxatech.com/products/p2_pico_projector.htm.  After putting these 2 together, I was totally blown away at how 2 small devices can provide such a high level of entertainment.  Here's a picture of my P2 and Zune HD hooked up together.

Now it's movie time as I downloaded a few movies to watch while flying on the plane on vacation.

I fine the artwork for the Zune to be quite interesting.  I'm not sure what MS was shooting for doing this, but I decided to try this out, fancy hi-tech wall art anybody? lol Cheesy

I also like how this unit scrolls the text for the music when you're playing it.  I'm thinking of bringing this set to the next party I go to for a bit more dazzle, we'll see Smiley

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's other ways of setting up a Zune HD to a bigger display.  I just went this route for the portability, until I realized the cradle needed to be plugged in..

I love projectors. Even when the quality is less, it still gives a more authentic movie feel. Bulb replacement could be a pain, tho.

Actually with these LED projectors, the bulb isn't replaceable.  They're designed to run between 10k-30k hours, so by the time the bulb dies, you'll most likely want to get a newer/better model.

If you had a Zune120 you wouldn't need the docking station as the audio port also had video out. Just a thought.

Didn't find any other active pico + Zune related threads so I'm posting here...

I'm looking to get either the AAXA P2 or one of the new Optoma units, but does anyone know whether or not the Optoma has a Zune(120) specific cable like the one AAXA offers?
