how can I request an album in marketplace?

How can I request an album (or artist, song, etc.) be added to the Zune Marketplace? I want to have Clay Cook's "On Mountain Time" available in the marketplace.

Or does the artist need to have it added? How does that all work?

It should work through the record company. They normally take care of the distribution methods.

What I think is that it would be no use if you are posting here, it is either you contact the record company personally, which I think that wouldn?t be working out well, as you is not the owner or anything related to Zune. I would recommend you to send an email to the administrator and suggest them to take action. But the chances of it will happen might be slim as well, if there is not much demand.

Send an email to our administrator?  That's not going to do anything.

The record companies deal with MS as far as uploading their artists material.  If you don't find it on Marketplace, just go buy it from another site - as long as it's in a recognizable format, you can load it to your Zune.
