Quote
Sledgehammer?s Glen Schofield has hit back at critics who have accused Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's visuals of being a cut and paste job.

Speaking to CVG, Schofield insisted that naysayers ?would see a huge difference? in visual quality if they were to juxtapose the upcoming military shooter with its predecessor, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

"I'll tell you one thing. I've worked on a lot of engines over my lifetime and spent a lot of time putting graphics in to them and this thing is Porsche," said Schofield. "And what I mean by that is that it's steam-lined, everything in it is perfectly freaking clean. You can tell it's been worked on for years. It's easy to upgrade.

"We worked with engines before that are like f***ing spaghetti. You can't work on a part and put it back in without messing with everything else. Modern Warfare 3's levels now are so much bigger than the old ones because they go more vertically, they have a bigger footprint and on top of that, higher fidelity, more textures and a lot more detail."

"Look at all the character models, look at all the gun models, look at the reflections, look at the water. There is so much that we've added, so when someone says 'cut and paste', I don't even want to talk to them because they don't know. They just don't know. They have no idea,? he added.

Modern Warfare 3 is due out worldwide on November 8.

I am just angry because they only release like 2 good map packs. If they released more DLC that would then justify the horrible story line of the game and keep me interested.

And they release it for 1200 ms points each. And its only 5 maps every time.

Man, for maps, thats just bs if you ask me.

As for the graphics, lol the game looks exactly like MW2.. i am positive it has enhancements from the last game, I've seen the new weapon textures, they are freakin' awesome.

And for us PS3 gamers... map packs go for $14.99 x 5 = $74.95 DLC+$59.99game=$134.94  that's just ridiculous.

Keeping in mind those prices are without the COD ELITE membership

Still.. the Elite membership costs $50.

Still not cheap. Like I said, especially knowing modern warfare, the DLC is ONLY maps.

Unlike Black Ops, where the prices were still too high, but they came with a zombies map every time.

What I would like is like bonus exclusive weapons, special skins, additional missions, online modes, etc.
Something a little more worth the $15.

Engine looks dull compared to BF3 but only the game play and story will tell if these games are good or not.

I don't buy map packs, never have.

Yep. BC2: Vietnam was maps, vehicles, weapons... Back to Karkland is Maps, Guns, Vehicles... And it is the same price as those 5 maps.

I love the Modern Warfare games, they are my favourite first person shooting. I could care less if the graphics are the same as the last version, they still look great to me.

I dont really play online much, at times I do, but its usually to be killed by 12 year olds screaming into there microphones about how bad ass they are. I would buy expansion packs if they had missions for offline play.

I like that they did that with Assassins creed 2. Not sure if they had one for brotherhood, need to take a look and see.
