D-Link?s All-In-One Mobile Companion Lets Travelers Access Hard Drives and Sync Photos
Communications solutions company D-Link announced the launch of its newest mobile accessory at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The DIR-505 All-In-One Mobile Companion is more than just a version of AirPort Express.
This little device lets you access content from a hard drive or thumb drive and acts as a charger for your gadgets when you are on the road.
The Mobile Companion is about the size of a mouse (not the organic one, the clicky one) and offers instant Wi-Fi access using one-touch WPS along with the free SharePort app that allows users to access videos, photos and music from anywhere.
It includes a USB port for sharing content from a compatible USB Storage device and can be plugged into a power source to act as a charger for your phone or tablet. Next time you hit the road for a business trip, bring along a thumb drive with a couple of movies in it and connect D-Link?s Mobile Companion to your iPad for seamless streaming. There is also an Ethernet port so that users can easily connect to an existing network in places where that is offered.
The DIR-505 All-In-One Mobile Companion available for around $75. It will be selling at retail and online stores as well as the company?s website.
